What was the highlight of HF Ipanema Porto Hotel
Nice hotel, could do better.
The room was a good size, comfortable, clean and tidy the bed was comfortable too. The complimentary large glass bottle of water was a really nice touch and very much appreciated.
The smell of cigarette smoke which wafted in to our room, from a neighbouring room on our corridor (10 floor) was most unwelcome. When mentioned to the reception staff the first time they said they were a no smoking hotel. The second time the reception staff (different staff members) said a complaint had been made previously by other guests. The guest responsible seems to be a regular at the hotel. The cooked breakfast offered was not of good quality and just about warm. Lastly, we requested a taxi to the airport the night prior to our departure, on the day of our departure we asked if we could cancel the taxi ordered and get one immediately on check out. We were told that was possible and a driver was waiting in reception. Only when we were in this "taxi" did we realise that there was no metre and the relatively quick 15/20 minute taxi ride cost us €30.00!!! which was really excessive.

It was very good. The place quiet and clean. I did not like that the price of breakfast was high...
The cleaniness and the calmness of the room.
Difficult to understand guideliness of how to be more environmental friendly. The price of breakfast was a bit high!
